From the outer southern suburbs of Adelaide this band rose to a prominent position as a fine rock band. Sharp and contemplative lyric content combined with a driving guitar tempo had taken The Violets to the top of Adelaide's home grown radio station's charts.

The Violets experienced in their career, the grunge of the pub rock scene, to being billed on the Big Day Out,The Adelaide Grand Prix and support for equally famous OZ band The Cruel Sea

They already have a collection of recordings including singles, EP's and albums. Check here for a collection of their recordings:

Back to my role in all this, I had the privilege a couple of years ago to put together some publicity shots for local print and press, these are some of the results. The main image loosley titled "the prayer shot" was the most widley distributed of all the photos taken, popping up in all sorts of papers and inside the sleeve of a locally produced compilation CD of SA bands.                 This image was an experimental piece working with the Polaroid image transfer technique, a hit and miss affair. So far as trying to arrive at an acceptable image, myself and the band were amazed at the artsy effect
